Knit City 2014

Another year has flown by and it is time to go once again to Vancouver, to participate in Knit City, a fibre frenzy event for knitters, spinners and fibre addicts of all sorts. My good friend Sheila Grant accompanied me once again for the weekend. And boy, did I make her work! And as a reward, I left enough room in the van for her suitcase.

We were set up at the venue within 2 hours,
and then to our hotel to meet the rest of the gang from Kamloops.

First things first - libations at the Press Box next door.

This year I put together some thrum mitten kits. Linette Meeks from Nanaimo was teaching a class on how to make them.

Speaking of Linette Meeks, here is a closeup of a shawl that she made as an entry into a contest - create a shawl to be worn by
Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.

Here are some pictures of clever display ideas spotted at Knit City.

Just a couple of pictures of hand made garments spotted
throughout the weekend.

Saturday night we all hung out in the hotel lobby, knitting of course.  And showing off purchases made during the day.

The weekend was wonderful - made lots of new customers. Thanks, Sheila, for being such a sport. Here we are with Lady BaaBaa

But it is always good to be home.
